Getting started and the tool tray icon

When you first start the program it will display the options screen. This will be displayed every time until you have added some new clocks. After you have clocks in you list the options dialog will not be displayed on start up.

The Tool Tray Icon is used to access some features including the options. It is located in the bottom right hand side of the screen, if you double click the icon it will show your clocks if they have been hidden. If you right click the icon it will display a popup menu. This is the contents of the menu:

  • Options – Displays the options dialog, you can configure the software from here.
  • Restore – This will show any hidden clocks, you can do the same thing by just double clicking the tool tray icon.
  • Arrange Clocks – If you lose a clock or have many clocks displayed on the screen, this will arrange them for you.
  • Exit – Shuts down Timesaver:Global Time.

Adding a new clock

To add a new clock, go into the options dialog and select a [Country] at the top, after selecting your desired country you will see a list of Locations displayed in the [Location] drop down box. Select the location you require and press the [Add Time] button.

You will be able to change the display name i.e. put in a person's name or name of an office here, or just leave the default location name and clock [OK].

You can also do a search for a location using the [Search] button located to the right of the Country drop down list.

Removing a clock

To remove a clock select a location in the [Clocks List] as ‘Jakarta’ is in the screen-print and press the [Remove Clock] button.

Setting an alarm clock

Select a clock in the [Clocks List] as ‘Jakarta’ is in the screen-print and press the [Set Alarm] button, set the time and date and click the [OK] button.

You can also display a count down to the selected time by putting a tick in the [Use Count Down] tick box on the options dialog next to the [Set Alarm] button.

When the alarm goes off the clock will flash on the screen, press [Stop Alarm] displayed at the top of the clock.

Changing the color of a clock

Select a clock in the [Clocks List] as ‘Jakarta’ is in the screen-print then select one of the colors, ‘Jakarta’ is set to Yellow in the screen print.

Stop Watch

To Add a Stop Watch put what name you want displayed on the stopwatch in the [Caption] text box and press the [Add Stop Watch] button.

You can use the [Start], [Stop] and [Reset] controls displayed at the top of the clock.

Options

Show Analogue clock – Shows the analogue display on each clock. If you want to display a lot of clocks on the screen or want the clocks to be smaller then leave this option un-ticked

  • Load on windows startup – Every time you start Windows, the clocks will automatically start also.
  • Show Seconds – Displays seconds on the clocks.
  • Always On Top – The clocks will stay in front of any other applications you have running on the screen.

Arranging clocks

[Hide] will hide all of the clocks displayed on your screen. Double click the Task Tray Icon to get them back.

You can move a clock by holding down the left mouse button over the border of the clock and dragging it to the location you desire. The clocks will snap together so you just need to move the clock close to another clock or the side of the screen and it will align its self when you let go of the left mouse button.

You can also move all clocks at the same time by holding the left mouse button down over the [Move All] tag at the bottom of the clock.

If you want to display a full screen clock, just double click anywhere on the clock face. Yo restore the clock back to its original size double click the clock face again.
